Yes, Rajasthan has got all of that but this is not the only identity of our beautiful state. There is a lot more that Rajasthan has given to this country and the world. Today, let us discuss those gems of our princely state who are recognized worldwide for their talent & milestones.

Lakshmi Niwas Mittal – A renowned personality, the chairman and CEO of world’s largest steel making company ArcelorMittal and the owner of Karrick Limited was born on 15th June 1950 in Sadulpur, Rajasthan. According to Forbes, Mittal was the third richest person in the world in 2005. In 2008 he was also awarded with Padma Vibhushan award.

Irrfan Khan – Who has not heard about this brilliant actor from the Hindi Cinema? Irrfan Khan was born on January 7, 1967, in Jaipur, Rajasthan. In his film career spanning almost 30 years, he has worked in more than 50 films and received numerous awards, including a National Film Award and Filmfare Awards in 4 categories.

Ila Arun – The most popular Rajasthani folk singer was born in Jodhpur and completed her graduation from the capital city Jaipur. She has given many hits to the Indian film industry like “Morni Baga Ma Bole”, “Choli ke Peeche” and a lot more.

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore – Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore AVSM is an Indian politician and former Olympian who was born in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. He is a Member of Parliament in Lok Sabha from Jaipur Rural seat and the Minister of State for Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in the Government of India.

Hari Singh Ranka – The founder and chairman of Modern Group, Mr. Hari Singh Ranka hails from Bhilwara town in Rajasthan and completed his graduation from Rajasthan University. He received the Indian government’s ‘Udyog Patra’ award in 1978 and the Silver Shield of the Rajasthan Financial Corporation (RFC) in 1980.
