Rajasthan Government made studying abroad easy for the youth of State

To actualize the vision of Shri Rajiv Gandhi for an educated and developed India, the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot, has started digital education as well as many other skills courses for the youth of the state. Through various plans and policies, he is making attempts for higher education in the state. The government has opened about 123 colleges for higher education in the villages and cities of the state. But now the most prominent step taken by the state Government, concerning this, is facilitating the students of the state abroad for studies.

On the birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi, Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot announced a scheme named the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence, in compliance with which the education department is implementing the scheme from this session.

Under this scheme, the department will provide facilities of higher studies to 200 meritorious students of the state in renowned 50 abroad institutions like Oxford, Harvard, and Stanford University. The fact is that the Rajasthan government will bear all the expenses of students studying at the undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., and post-doctoral levels.

Be informed about the dates as applications have been started from October which grants benefits of abroad education to 200 exemplary students of the state. The most significant thing is that under this scheme 30 percent of seats have been reserved for the girls of the state which means this is going to benefit at least 60 girl students to study abroad. Note that the students will be able to avail the benefits of the scheme based on merit.

Students who are willing to study the subjects listed below can apply for this scheme:

If these seats remain vacant, admission will also be given in the courses of Engineering and Related Science, Medicine, and Applied Science.

We know this is not the first time that the Rajasthan government is encouraging students for foreign education. The concern and enthusiasm with which the Rajasthan government is working in the field of education are commendable. In the year 2010, Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot had started the Undergraduate Level Education Facilitation Scheme for abroad. The benefit of this scheme is given to the girl students of government schools who held the first three positions in the merit list of the 10th standard Rajasthan Board. By taking advantage of this scheme, girls of Banswara, Bhilwara, and Shrimadhopur of the state got the chance to study abroad where they also grabbed the opportunity to work on good packages in foreign countries. The government has spent Rs 1 crore each on their education.

Understanding the need of this competitive era, the Chief Minister has worked incredibly hard to strengthen the education system and bring changes for a better tomorrow.

People who could not send their children to English medium schools or abroad due to lack of money, are now able to give quality and modern education to their children without spending a single penny.
