GHANTA GHAR JODHPUR

Ghanta Ghar, which is also known as the Clock Tower, is one of the most crowded and visited monuments by tourists in Jodhpur. It is a five-tiered structure with beautifully carved Jharokhas and a dome entirely made of sandstone. It was built by the great Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur (Between 1880-1911). There is a big Sardar Market around the tower, which is a shopping spree for tourists.

The world-famous buttermilk (Lassi) of this market will add sweetness to your journey.

The Clock Tower is open for visitors with minimal charges. It is about 1.5 Kilometers away from Jodhpur Junction and 3 kilometers from Jodhpur Fort. Visitors can admire the astonishing panoramic view of Mehrangarh Fort and the beauty of Jodhpur city from the top of the tower. Also, people can learn about the mechanism of the clock from inside the tower.
