JAIGARH FORT

Jaigarh Fort is one of the most happening places in Jaipur for almost every age group. It is situated near Amber Fort on Cheel Ka Teela of Aravali range. King Jai Singh 2 made this fort to protect Amber Fort from enemies in 1726 AD. So the name ‘Jaigarh’ is given after the name of king itself. It was the major center to produce artillery which is still preserved in the museum of the fort. It’s a remarkably strong fort with thick walls of red sandstone. Also, many other different cannons & weapons are stored in the fort which was used to guard Jaipur and Amer against Rivals. It has the biggest cannon of the world called Jaivana Cannon which is the greatest attraction of the fort.

The scene from the Jaigarh Fort is incredible as the whole Jaipur can be seen from the top of the cliff. Tourists enjoy the lighting of Jaipur city by staying there after sunset. It is counted in the most visited place by the youth of Jaipur and nearby cities. It is connected to other famous places in Jaipur like Nahargarh Fort, Amber Fort, Nahargarh Biological Park, etc. Tourists can take an auto-Rickshaw, cab or private vehicles to reach the fort.

Jaigarh place has become a popular pre-wedding shoot place for couples. The sunrise and sunset from the fort are fascinating, which is perfect to enlighten your morning mood and make your evening romantic. Some nearby cafes and restaurants are available to enjoy delicious food.
